Blue Hills Genealogical Society-Barron County, Inc. will hold their regularly scheduled monthly meeting in the second floor conference room of the Barron County Office Complex at 410 E. LaSalle, Barron, WI. [Entrance to the building for Monday meetings is through the door at the corner of 4th and LaSalle. NO ENTRANCE FOR THE EVENING BY THE BACK DOOR.] Hospitality room opens at 6pm, business meeting and announcements at 6:30 with the program for the evening beginning after the meeting. The evenings main business will be the election of President and Secretary. The Program for the evening will be a celebration of the 10th Anniversary for BHGS. Slide show of past photos for the Society, along with the Society History in scrapbooks along with other activities will be planned.

As a group, the Society volunteers will be again working out in a cemetery to photograph and abstract the information from tombstones as a preservation project for the county. The cemetery for this night and will be St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, on county Road SS/Main Street, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Come in outdoors clothing. We need people with digital cameras to help with this project. This could be the last night in this cemetery and it will then be ready for the final creation. Watch the society webpages for details. Alternative program (because of weather will be announced.

This nights progam will be presented by Greg Kochen, the Archivist of the UWEC Area Research Center of the Wisconsin Historical Society. His presentation is titled "Getting the Most from the WHS & the ARC's: Using ArCat. We encourage people to bring their laptops and get hands on experience in using this extensive resource.

Vernon County Historical Society Bus Trip to Salt Lake City, Utah, Bus leaves Viroqua, WI on September 27 at approximately 7 AM and returns to Viroqua at approximately 7 PM on October 6. Blue Hills Genealogical Society-Barron County, Inc. will hold their regular monthly meeting at the Barron County Office Complex, 410 East LaSalle, Barron Wisconsin. The meeting takes place in the second floor Conference room, with Hospitality at 6 pm, a short business meeting and announcements at 6:30 pm and the program for the evening at 7 pm. Entrance to the building for the meeting is the front door at the corner of 4th and LaSalle Streets in Barron. This nights progam will be presented by Greg Kochen, the Archivist of the UWEC Area Research Center of the Wisconsin Historical Society. His presentation is titled "Getting the Most from the WHS & the ARC's: Using ArCat. We encourage people to bring their laptops and get hands on experience in using this extensive resource.
